When I had my morning classes that day, I barely listened to most of the lectures since I was too excited to attend my soccer practice in the afternoon. Once I read the memo regarding it earlier, I haven\u2019t thought of anything else since. Everything that came out of the mouths of my teachers just went in one ear and out the other as I desperately tried to stop myself from checking the clock every additional minute.\r\n\r\n \r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Cause<\/h2>\r\n \r\n\r\nEventually, my last class came to an end. I stuffed my things into my bag and ran out the door, looking forward to my practice more than eating lunch beforehand. The practice itself went well until I got a leg injury when I tried kicking the ball. I tumbled forward and felt my leg crumple underneath me as I fell. Severe pain shot up my leg, and I wasn\u2019t sure if something broke or I just got a sprain, so a medical check up in Singapore was advised.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nWe went to a clinic where my mom usually gets a <a href=\"https:\/\/thomsonwellthclinic.com\/stay-healthy\/womens-health-screening-packages\/\"><strong>mammogram screening in Singapore<\/strong><\/a> from. She was distraught and couldn\u2019t stop fussing over my leg as she threw panicked questions about whether or not I was okay. I was crying and whining the entire drive to the clinic, so I was confused why the answer wasn\u2019t already apparent to her. The clinic was close to the school, making the trip short enough to withstand my agony. My dad carried me inside, and we were immediately directed to a doctor after informing the receptionist of what had happened to me.\r\n\r\n \r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diagnosis<\/h2>\r\n \r\n\r\nThe doctor was known as a sports injury specialist. I found it a little funny that there was a specific doctor for this particular problem, but I couldn\u2019t bring myself to laugh at the idea since the pain was only getting worse. I cried out and begged the specialist to do something so it wouldn\u2019t hurt so much. He understood the gravity of the situation and proceeded to check what had happened to my leg. He mentioned putting my leg through an x-ray to properly get a picture of what was happening inside. Outside, my leg looks normal except for the bleeding scrapes I got from falling onto the field and its tiny rocks. The only issue was that I couldn\u2019t bend or straighten my legs due to the pain.\r\n\r\n \r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/ScdXG78FSaXsmztSgVcBvyxPujKjKY_F3tjcVX51jWaOYuJYQ-PdZkFUFREAj7j__ZYadBjzEhTSyPd4Ql0eYawyG5x7wuq5btiQHn5ktijAgpzqIY9KkXctK4nqThgGZWfsgocgjc2aebhEcM3Q8IJRkRKO1Ry7DXqnKm2RJr9I-WcK3Tg1N5xpYF-Q3QoQBYQ49D0eGg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n \r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Treatment<\/h2>\r\n \r\n\r\nAfter getting a <a href=\"https:\/\/thomsonwellthclinic.com\/stay-healthy\/health-screening\/\"><strong>full health screening in Singapore<\/strong><\/a>, I was given painkillers to lessen the ache and a cast to wrap around my leg in the meantime. Thankfully, it wasn\u2019t severe enough to involve surgery. All I had to do was keep the cast on and stop doing very taxing physical activities until it was fully healed. It saddened me to hear that I had to give up soccer for a while, but I knew that this specialist understood what he was doing.
